I was born and raised in Japan. After graduating from Meiji University, obtaining my B.A. in literature. I worked in many different environments while I often enjoyed acrylic painting and other crafts as hobbies. Inspired by Japanese artists creating sculptural lamps using wire and paper, I started creating lamps. My fascination with creating 3-D mixed media lighting lead me to create other functional art and eventually non-functional sculpture.
The main motivation of my art is to capture the essence of nature in abstract ways. Using wire lines and mixed media objects, I try to incorporate the balance between the movement and stillness, and the simplicity and complexity of the core forms that I find inherent in nature.
