Tammerlaine Burwell Tammerlaine remembers as a child being appalled at her mother's stained melamine coffee cups. Although only nine, she vowed to learn how to make her own dishes. Driven by the desire to create beautiful, classical shapes, she shifted her interest from throwing functional ceramics to exploring her love of pure form. She now celebrates her 27th year as a ceramic artist and lives on a mountaintop in northern California.
