The work shown here is the result of over 25 years experience in designing and making jewelry. I studied jewelry at the University of Georgia and Virginia Commonwealth University where I earned a Master of Fine Arts degree. I worked as a bench jeweler for 17 years before starting my own business in 1998. I love working in my home studio.
My work has won a few awards, including a Jewelry Arts Award from Lapidary Journal. Also, two of my rings will be featured in 500 Rings published by Lark Books in the fall of 2004.
I work in 18K gold and sterling silver or a combination. The pieces are made from sheet metal or wire and incorporate chased textures, die formed shapes using hand-made dies, and semi-precious stones and pearls. This jewelry is the natural result of years of observing what people like to wear, and becoming comfortable working with my tools and materials.
It is as much a pleasure for me to create jewelry as it will be for you to wear or give.
Thank you for appreciating it.
