The Mowen Solinsky Gallery welcomes everyone and opens the door to the experience of art. The gallery is recognized as a model gallery, exhibiting and selling exceptional contemporary art from well established career artists from across the country. The prestigious location is in a spacious 1870's building in the heart of the historic district of downtown Nevada City. Yet, its modern interior successfully features contemporary art in a museum quality atmosphere.
The doors opened in early 2004 to a receptive audience from Nevada County. Since then, amidst the economic challenges and changes we have all experienced, our art patronage has only expanded. Collectors call and visit from across the US and abroad finding us through our up-to-date website and our inspiring in-depth newsletters.
It is an honor to be continually recognized as The Best of Gallery in Nevada County from The Union Newspaper readership in 2004, 2005, 2006, and consecutively since 2008 to this present year, 2013. Our location is often chosen for non-profit events and openings such as the SYRCL 'Wild & Scenic' film festival, book signings, poetry readings, wine strolls and more.

Mowen Solinsky Gallery is open Sunday - Thursday 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, Friday & Saturday 10:00 am to 8:30 pm, or by special appointment.
